How much does it usually cost to install
and paint a body kit?
Well you will find as
many answers to that question as you will find people to ask.
We hope you find this
information during your searches for Body Kits, because it
will mean we accomplished our goal to educate you early and
to help save you money on your install.
Step 1?
Buy a quality kit from a reputable manufacturer.
We're not going to get into details on why you should do
this because we have that information on another page in
this website. Paying the extra money to a reputable
kit manufacturer will be cheaper then paying the labor rate
at the body shop for the additional work that will be
required to make a cheep body kit fit right.
Why would we take the
time to help you buy quality? Most of our customers
find us while searching / purchasing their parts and end up
in our parking lot scratching their head trying to figure
out why this $300 body kit will cost $3000 to install and
paint, and worse yet the seller probably told them if they
paid $200 more they will send you a guaranteed fitment (ha,
we get that one a lot and you will too while looking for
kits). Do yourself; and us a favor and just send the
money here (kidding of course), but we are making a point.
Don't throw your money away on
cheep body kits! It makes about as much sense as peeing
on yourself to keep warm in freezing weather. If we
catch you early enough, we will find you in our parking lot
with a good fitting body kit, and the usual amount of
additional prep and we wont blow out your budget getting it
right.
Most first class body
shops will charge $1700 (basic kit) to $2500 (more complex)
and includes paint.
Wide Body Kits can cost
up to $10,000 when you factor in the painting process.
Ultimately it comes down to the additional prep required to
repair blemishes or cracks. That's why you want to buy
quality.
